Add your website to the New Universe
The New Universe Web Directory Project is a community based project set-up to help free thinking people promote their web site, add web pages or simply create a page based around their favourite hobby or subject. We, at the New Universe aim to expand the content over the coming years and allow our guests to edit each others pages, to offer opinions and extra information they don't know themselves via a Wiki formulated template system. However, so the person creating a page might keep their hard work, downloadable templates are offered from the New Universe. These templates come with easy instructions. In fact, if you want you can create a whole website, hosted on your server from the free templates. No subject matter is banned, although you should quickly read the guidelines on content inclusion. Copyright is considered the same as GNU, although secondary copyright should be checked if you are adding other people's material.

Perhaps the easiest way to achieve high search ranking is to place your website on a larger website. Search engines find these web pages much, much quicker because they automatically jump from the top engine to the listed link.
Ever since Wiki started using the "NoFollow" tag on all external links to deter spammers, we've decided to allow webmasters to locate their website with us. We don't believe everyone should be punished because of a few irresponsible people. It's not fair!
Therefore, to help out smaller websites, we've come-up with a unique idea. To add your website to the New Universe, simply follow the steps below.
- Firstly, add our web address to your front page - or the page your wish to get listed: You can either place our web address as: http://newuniverse.co.uk/ or http://www.newuniverse.co.uk/. Check the link works! Example: NewUniverse
- Secondly, check the spelling: it's essential. If you misspell our address our automated spiders won't recognise your page!
- Thirdly, reload your wedpage to your server and check it appears. Job Done!
You don't need to contact us or send an e-mail. As mentioned, our automated spiders constantly crawl the web looking for our web address. When our address is found, we automatically add the most prominant word in your title tags to the relevant links page, or create a new links page if one is not found: see example below:
- Suppose your webpage contains between its title tags, the words - Space Cosmos Universe: then our spiders scan your page. If say Space appears 5 times, Cosmos appears 7 times and Universe appears 9 times, then the word Universe is automatically selected for inclusion and linkage. By using the most prominent word on your webpage which relates to your title tags, you get the highest possible ranking. So choose the words in your title tags carefully!
Once our web address appears on your page - or pages; (remember you can select as many different pages as you like, on any subject); then a reciprocal link will eventually be placed on our website.
Please remember, as we do harvest the web, like any major search engine, links can take some time to show: So please be patient.
However, as we are one of the few major websites left to offer this service free, it is well worth the trouble to pursue it.
